Tanner's "Big Boy" Room

During my two weeks of spring break, I decided it was time to redecorate Tanner's room into a "big boy" room. It was bittersweet. He is getting so big, talking in sentences, learning several new words each day, but it is obvious he isn't a baby anymore. :( We purchased a toddler bed and comforter after we moved to Vail, because he was able to get out of his crib. He had a mix and match of new decor and his nursery decor. Since I had two weeks off, I decided to finally make it match. He LOVES it! :)
As you walk in. Sorry the lighting is bad.
One corner of his room. I couldn't bring myself to take out the glider, we like to read books on it :)
I made the frames using fabric swatches, ribbon and a hand print :)
I found this wall map at Kohl's. It was easy to put up. I had a map in my room growing up and I LOVED looking at all the cool places. I learned all of my states and capitals that way :)

I made this as well. They are 8x8 canvases. I decoupaged the colored paper and his pictures. I hot glue gunned the animals on. These are my favorite :)

 Up close :)

I FINALLY got around to putting pictures in the frames...Yes, He is almost 2 years old.
Here is a picture with his rug in it. The rug is is favorite part of his room. He says, "My rug! My rug!" and runs over and lies on it. So cute! :)
