28...

Yep that's right...we are the big 2-8! Adam and I are only a few weeks apart...His birthday is June 26th, and mine is July 21st. Twenty-eight doesn't have any real big milestone, but it is inching quite close to 30. We didn't do much to celebrate our big days. After having a baby, your birthday isn't as exciting as it used to be. All of our attention went to Tanner's birthday, who happens to be June 30th.  In the midst of our birthdays, there are a ton of other family birthdays during the summer: Stephen, Natalie, Kent (and his triplet brothers Kevin and Keith), Adam, Tanner, Karen, Me, Catie, and my dad (and his twin brother John). Yes you read that right, Adam's dad is a triplet, and my dad is a twin. Pretty cool! Our families have voted for no more summer babies :) We didn't take pictures of Adam's birthday, but we can pretend that mine are for the both of us :)

Yep, there are 28...
It took an entire army to light them all

The wax was melting all over the cake it took so long!
Tanner helped us blow them out.

Summer

This summer was filled with trips to Flagstaff, swimming, BBQing, and just having a good time, while trying to stay cool.  I think we made it up to Flagstaff 3 times, and we loved every second of it. The weather is unbelievable, and everything is much more laid back and slower paced. We like to sit on the porch and do nothing. Tanner LOVES to be outside, and it is impossible to do in Phoenix because of the heat, so Flagstaff gives him the opportunity to run around and play. We went up for Memorial Weekend to celebrate the ending of my most challenging and draining year of teaching. It was fantastic. We just hung out downtown, went to the park, enjoyed the cool air. It was great. We also went again a few weeks later for Adam's dad's birthday. Each year he likes to hike Mt. Humphrey's with his kids. So we went up again. Adam and Stephen and their dad conquered the mountain, while Karen, Tanner and I shopped. :) Then we went again for Adam's sister Catie's 21st birthday. We celebrated with her friends and took her out! It made Adam and I miss going to NAU a lot...I don't think we appreciated Flagstaff as much as we should have while we were in school. Here are pictures from Flagstaff. I am not sure what trip they are from, but you get the idea.
