This was an exciting Christmas, it was our first as a family of three. We all got spoiled, but especially Tanner. Santa brought him toys and so did his grammie and nana and grandpa. We have no room for them. We are looking into toy boxes now. :)

Tanner's First Christmas
This was an exciting Christmas, it was our first as a family of three. We all got spoiled, but especially Tanner. Santa brought him toys and so did his grammie and nana and grandpa. We have no room for them. We are looking into toy boxes now. :)
December Happenings
We went to the annual Tempe Boat Parade. It was pretty neat. We watched it from up on the Mill bridge. There were a lot of boats, a lot more that we both expected. It was cool. They all had lights and different themes. It was something fun to do that was free, so we went for it.

Our camera doesn't take pics in the dark very well, but you can kind of make out a few boats in the water.

Triplet Christmas
This was the first year of Triplet Christmas. Adam's dad is a triplet, and the triplets all live on the same street and next to each other. So this year the triplets and their families all got together for a Christmas party. We had a gingerbread making contest, played games and just hung out.

Despite not taking any naps at all that day, he was a happy guy at the parade, and even did well at dinner with his Nana and Grandpa afterward. He does look a little tired though.
Tanner's Great Aunt Steph always decorates both the inside and outside for Christmas beautifully. We thought it would be a cute idea to put Tanner in one of the chairs that is covered with Christmas dolls and stuffed toys. It is our take on "Where's Waldo". He wasn't too sure at first, but ended up having a good time.

Of course, since Aunt Steph and Uncle Keith live right next door to Nana and Grandpa, Tanner wanted to take pictures with them too.

Zoo Lights
We took my cousin Ben with us to Zoo Lights this year. He just moved here and we thought it would be fun to let him experience Zoo Lights. He comes from Idaho with really cold winters, so it was fun for him to be outside enjoying our wonderful weather.

Annual Baking Day!
My mom, sister and I have started a yearly baking day. This year we made sugar cookies, Reese's peanut butter blossoms, and Oreo Balls.

Oreo Balls, learned how to make them from my best friend Kipperly :)
Oliver had his eyes on the Oreo Balls. He wasn't successful in eating those, but he did get the sugar cookies off of the counter a few days later....

5 Months Old!
We can't believe Tanner is already 5 months old! Time is flying! He weighs over 18lbs! We haven't checked his height (length) yet, but we are guess around 27 inches. He has started to eat a few different things. He has had sweet potatoes, bananas, and avocados. He loved them all. He didn't even give us any of the typical sour baby faces when he tried them. He acted as if he had been eating solids for a long time.
Getting ready to eat!
He didn't even get messy!
He rolls over both ways, so tummy time turned in to roll around the floor time. :) He just rolls himself right over every time you put him on his stomach. He is definitely teething. We can see three teeth ready to break through. Poor guy! He is biting on anything he can get his hands on! He is making so many new sounds. It seems like each day he is doing something new. He is grabbing things all of the time, like hair, glasses, jewelry, phones, etc. He is trying to pull himself up to sit. If we put him in the sitting position, he is able to sit by himself for about 10 seconds before losing his balance. It looks like he will be sitting soon!
Tanner in his new Suns warm-up from Kip! He is hanging with dad, watching the game!

Pictures
We went and finally did our family portraits done at a studio. We have taken tons with our camera, but thought it was about time to have them done professionally. Overall, we were pleased. Tanner smiled the entire time, except for the picture when we are looking down at him, he is actually screaming, but you can't tell. He was a hungry boy by the end of it. Here are some of the pictures:

Christmas is in the air!
It is our family tradition to decorate and pull-out all of the Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving. I usually get up early to catch some Black Friday sales, and Adam gets the Christmas decorations ready to put up. This is the first year in our new house and Adam took putting up our lights very seriously. He rented a boom lift from work and used it to put the lights up on the house. He had a great time doing it. I am sure our neighbors think we are a little crazy.

This is so much fun because we get to do everything with Tanner. We got him his first stocking, presents and ornaments. Christmas is so much more fun with a little one. He loves to stare at the tree.
We also went to the Tempe APS Festival of Lights Parade. It was fun to see all of the cars and trucks decorated with lights. Tanner seemed to like looking at all of the lights. His nana and granpa met up with us and we all got to hang out for a while.
